Senses are central to how kids experience the world, how they behave, and how they learn. While most kids crave sensory engagement, unfortunately they don't always get it. Good news! Nature truly is the ideal, sensory environment—calming, constantly changing, and stimulating to all of our senses, in perfect balance.

This Summer, our Sensory curriculum is designed to help each child strengthen and balance their senses in the most stimulating and soothing classroom of all—the great outdoors. Our curriculum will help kids foster each of their senses, activate multiple senses at once, and offer approaches to support each child’s unique sensory system.

*Although Tinkering with Nature is a drop-off program, parents are welcome to stay and observe.  A limited number of parent volunteer spots may be available for adults who agree to stay and assist with the class.  Parent volunteers will be refunded $20 for each session they assist.

Children who have been previously enrolled in a Tinkergarten season may join Tinkering with Nature at 6 years old.

The Big Kids Eco-Adventure for children ages 6-10 is drop off program that runs 3 days in a row, for 3 hours each day.  In each class, we'll have a short devotional, learn about God through the natural world, and play and experiment with nature.  We'll have a snack break in the middle of class, so kids should bring a snack from home.

Geared for ages 2-4 years along with a parent or caregiver, but all truck-loving kids are welcome.
Stay tuned for more Ben's Truck Time sessions!

Second-grader Ben, aficionado of all vehicles, will read a truck-themed picture book and share a few facts about the truck of the week, then the group will engage in toy truck free play.  Kay's son, Ben, has been in Tinkergarten for over 5 years, is an excellent reader, and loves to share his truck knowledge with other children.

Ben's Truck Time is $5 per session for the first child, or $10 per session for a family with two or more children.  The playgroup is held outside, and the kids will be playing in the dirt or snow.
